Studio Sage x Atelier Salon

Lee Trevino and long-time friend Erica Keileen partnered to host a class on Creative Color Placement and trending Short Hair-Cutting techniques. With Atelier's Lead Educator, Antonio Geoivan, the trio presented a stellar learning opportunity.

Based on the incredible lineup, the event sold out quickly. Lee, Erica, and Antonio knew it was critical to bring their a-game. The decision to get two separate models meant working simultaneously together. Lee focused on mastering the cut while Erica rocked creative color. The result? Forty-some stylists emerged in the art of hair.

Lee and Erica were able to focus on delivering their best technical tips and tricks, knowing that the other would cover the crowd.

Main takeaways:

  • Make sure to remove weight, not building weight, during your pixies.

  • Keep your eyes on where the hair wants to go. If you ignore it, the hair could stick up or look unsightly.

  • Utilize what permanent hair color you have. Formulate using a product with higher ammonia contents. You don't have to lighten someone completely to get a bold, fun color.

  • Consider sectioning the front bang area using a horseshoe shape.

Overall, the collaboration was incredible. It was an opportunity for stylists all over Jacksonville to come, learn, and connect as a community. Interested in attending one of our classes? Visit the link here for our upcoming classes
